Continuation Triangle Pattern

Triangle pattern is a continuation chart pattern.

Initial Price trend: can be bullish or bearish

Pattern Shape: Formed by connecting two lower highs and two lower lows. It appears to be wedge-shaped – wide at the start and narrower at the end.

After pattern confirmation: Price moves in the same direction as the initial price trend.

Continuation Flag Pattern

Flag pattern is a continuation chart pattern.

Initial Price trend: can be bullish or bearish

Pattern Shape: There will be a distinctive price trend (flagpole) after which a range bound rectangular shaped movement (flag) occurs. Usually, the flag appears slightly tilted against the existing price trend.

After pattern confirmation: Price moves in the same direction as the initial price trend.
